Is Cove really peer-to-peer?
Yes. Video and audio travel directly between your browser and the other person's browser using WebRTC. Our servers handle signaling (who calls who) but never see your video or audio.
Do I need to create an account?
You need an account to create rooms and save recordings. Viewers can watch shared recording links without signing in.
What browsers are supported?
Any modern browser works — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari. No extensions or plugins needed.
How many people can join a meeting?
Cove is optimized for small groups. Peer-to-peer works best up to ~8 participants; beyond that, you'll see higher bandwidth usage.
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings are stored in Cloudflare R2 (object storage). Only you can see them; share links are unlisted and require knowing the URL.
